The Al-Andalus Tunnel, located at the intersection of King Abdulaziz Street with Palestine and Hamra Streets, is a major north–south underpass measuring 1,580 meters in length and 29 meters in width. Designed to improve traffic flow in Jeddah, the project features a distinctive 20,000 sqm GFRC geometric façade that reflects the city’s coastal identity.
Station Group executed the architectural cladding envelope in close collaboration with the Municipality of Jeddah and advisory consultants, ensuring high engineering standards and uncompromising quality. Through extensive value engineering, the installation process was optimized to achieve a capacity of 200 sqm per day, supported by advanced structural simulation, 3D modeling, and point cloud technology.
This project demonstrates Station Group’s expertise in architectural GRC design, fabrication, and installation, delivering a modern, jointless-looking façade that embodies the coastal identity of Jeddah while enhancing the city’s infrastructure.
