Project Overview

Address Jabal Omar Makkah is one of the largest structures within the Address Hotels and Resorts portfolio, featuring 1,484 luxurious rooms and suites that blend ancient Arabian charm with contemporary opulence. Designed by renowned London-based architects Foster and Partners, the hotel’s stunning towers span over 5,000 square meters.

STATION has executed the GRC (Glass Reinforced Concrete) facade of the towers, adding to the building's unique aesthetic and structural integrity. STATION’s advanced in-house engineering capabilities for composite products played a pivotal role in the successful completion of the iconic Skybridge Mosque at Jabal Omar, Makkah. The project integrated STATION’s cutting-edge engineering solutions to ensure the precise execution of this suspended mosque, which overlooks the Masjid Al-Haram.

Key Engineering Highlights:

• 3D Surveying & Modeling: The STATION surveying team used 3D cloud point technology to capture the existing steel structure, creating an accurate model and preventing clashes between elements.
• Structural Performance Analysis: STATION’s structural team conducted linear and non-linear structural studies to ensure the optimal performance of this large suspended bridge.
• Precision Manufacturing: In STATION's factory, both the structural steel stud frame and pigmented GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) units were fabricated using CNC machines, guaranteeing precision in all geometries.
• Expert Installation: STATION’s expert installation team overcame logistical challenges in lifting and positioning components within the high-rise structure, paying meticulous attention to both structural integrity and architectural details.

The successful completion of the project was made possible through seamless collaboration between ECG consultant engineers, ACC main contractors, and STATION specialists. This teamwork ensured the project was finished on schedule, unveiling the Sky Mussallah, the world’s highest prayer room, which offers breathtaking views of the Holy Kaaba.
